My guests will usually ask me about how much time is enough time at Walt Disney World…. Well that just depends on what you are looking for. You are asking the wrong person if you want my honest answer, hahaha we would live there if we could. Kidding of course. But here are a few things to consider.
- Are you planning on making this a one and done, once in a lifetime trip? If yes, I would say 7 nights if you are travelling with little ones. Give yourselves time to soak everything in, yet have time to rest and enjoy the resorts as well. Some of real beauty is in the resorts themselves and the different times of year they decorate them. The pools are amazing for all ages and it is nice to take a break from everything in the middle. We made the mistake the first time we took the girls to just go go go and it was fun but not as fun as the next time where we had a day of rest. We swam and enjoyed all the activities The Wilderness Lodge had to offer. So 7 night stay would give you a good 5 days at the parks and 2 off days. There are 4 parks total so you could do 1 day at each park and then go back to your favorite one the last day or you could enjoy Disney Springs formally known as Downtown Disney, and do some shopping and eating. Now if you are travelling with the older kids or just a couple trip you could do everything in about 5 or 6 nights, with a 4 day park pass. But in reality if you want to enjoy an amazing vacation and feel a little rested when you get back I would say ultimately 7-10 days. And sneak in a Universal day or Sea World
- Is this your first trip? Are you going with kids? If this is your first trip and know it won’t be your last, (this is kind of where we were on our first trip) My husband didn’t even really like the idea of going when we took the girls on their first Disney trip. Well, now he is just as excited if not more excited when we go. Ok, back to first trip, I think 4-5 days is perfect for a first trip. Get a 4 day park ticket and enjoy all 4 parks with a day off in between or day off your last day.
There are alot of things to consider when you are planning a trip and how many days, of course budget being a big one so I would love to help you make it happen within your budget, and remember all it takes is $200 down to book and balance isn’t due until 30 days before your trip.
Of course these are just my professional opinions and you can go as long or short as you want to but you want to make sure you give yourself enough time to enjoy your trip no matter where you go. While you are in Orlando there are so many fun things to do with the older kids also. Now that Lyft and Uber are everywhere it makes it so easy to get around outside of the park area especially if you have older kids with you. We usually take a LYFT or Minnie Van for those early morning character breakfasts.
